Disappointed with this. It is basically just the grail and the ad copy is vey misleading. You cannot shuffle the deck as it need to remain in order (obviously you can do a false shuffle but the ad gives the impression the spectator can shuffle). The ad video shows the perfect outcome, most of the time the spectator cannot just pick the box up as you have to take the cards out and move some from top to bottom or vice versa. You need to quickly look at and remember a number, what the symbol next to it means, what colour it is and what the different arrows mean so its not exactly memory free self working as described. Ad says it comes with 3 routines, it doesn't it comes with one that can be done using three different stxxks so you pick which one you want or already know. It consists of a set of 4 stickers to put on a card box. No spare set so when the box gets knackered you can't prepare another one. This would have cost pennies to produce so at the price point a few spares would have been good. The box can be briefly looked at by the spectator for the reveal but you wouldn't want them looking to close as they could easily see the others if they looked or turned the box. You get 3 stickers to put on the back of a joker but will only use one depending upon which stxxk you choose to use. and that's it. The instructions are ok but a little hard to follow as English is not his first language and you find yourself going back and forth a lot to find something. The bonus trick using a phone is ok but not something I would use as spectators would just think it's an app. Overall it's not awful but not as clean and straightforward as the ad leads you to believe and at the price point it is at I would have expected a few spare stickers for the boxes and jokers that were printed and not just a sticker to put on the back of an existing joker. I will stick to using the grail for this type of trick. I have removed a star for the lack of value, half a star for instructions and 1.5 stars for misleading ad copy.
This effect is a real fooler! There is several layers but the audience are kept interested throughout. It’s by no means hard but I did have to practice to ensure the best delivery (which way to place certain cards in the deck as an example). Everyone I’ve done this to has reacted great and it’s an effect well worth the effort. Reset takes a little time but I’ve speeded that up by summarising what’s necessary. You are told what specific cards to put where but instead of placing 10 specific cards you can just place 10 cards - hopefully this makes sense when you buy the effect! I take it everywhere now and it’s also made me look at other Caleb Wiles effects.
They are what they are but what is impressive is the first class service always offered by Alex at Monster Magic. Quick delivery - great service as always!
For the price I was very impressed with the quality of the dice that it comes with - a solid prop. A nice effect, that’s easy to do with a little practice, and yet will make you look like a Mentalism expert! Delivered very quickly as always by Monster Magic!
