It’s Saturday morning, 9:00—time for the Monster Magic Saturday Show!
Blackpool was freezing, but I had heating in my Airbnb, so no complaints. it was a brilliant weekend: great to catch up with friends, meet people in person, and hear so many kind words about Monster Magic. A few of you even brought gifts - some very fine whiskey and a keyring - thank you, that really meant a lot.
But I’m back, and it’s review time.
AI Deck by Szabolcs Molnar (£21.99)
A clever, self-working trick using the plunger principle from the 1930s. A chosen card is lost, then the “AI deck” gives printed instructions—until the card is revealed. Comes with two special cards and a booklet (no video). Simple, charming, and topical.

30 Seconds to Stun by Richard Sanders (£28.99)
An updated routine from 20 years ago. A chosen card vanishes from the deck and appears in your mouth, with extra phases like an instant repeat and hands-off version. Includes a wipe-clean plastic card for the mouth reveal. Strong, fast, and fun—though the trailer has a misleading shot that’s worth noting. Giveaway coming next week for this one.

Atomic Deck by Craig Petty (£44.99)
Craig’s take on ACAAN, sold out fast at Blackpool. Uses a special deck plus an app—easy to do, very clean, and extremely strong mentalism. The deck handles differently (thin stock, rough/smooth principle) and only 80% of card/number combos work, but framing it as a mentalism effect makes that irrelevant. Expensive, but clever and powerful.

Gravity Clips by Greg Van Holck (£34.50)
A visual stage/parlour effect: postcards (or other items) are clipped to a line, and all but the spectator’s selection fall. Based on Stuart James’ principle, but reversed for more drama. Comes with gimmicked clips and line; you provide your own postcards or props. Versatile, colorful, and fun mentalism.

Bonus mention: The Gnome (Issue 2) by Miles Thornton
A brilliant bank-night routine with just two envelopes, ending with a shock reveal of a razor blade. Blowing magicians away at Blackpool. Available at the-gnome.com.
That’s it for this week—enjoy your weekend, grab some magic, and have fun with the best hobby in the world.
