It’s Saturday morning at 9:00, which means one thing. It's time for the Monster Magic Saturday Show! Spring’s here, the sun’s out, and for our Swedish friends, let me know if I’ve missed frog-dancing season. Enough chatter, let’s dive into some reviews.
Jumping Dominoes (TCC) – £44.99
A clever, visual domino routine. Four dominoes (double twos and sixes) magically swap, reappear from pocket to hand, and finish with a double eight and a blank. The gimmick is subtle, the moves simple (a Monte-style switch and a palm), and the visuals strong. The dominoes are well-made, classy, and come with a carry bag. Pricey, but a neat break from cards and coins.

Outsmarted (Patrick Jason & Green Lemon) – £34.99
A deck of illustrated cards disguised as a party game. The highlight routine is What’s the Point, which builds suspense as cards visually point toward the spectator’s selection. Most of the routines are self-working, well-taught, and versatile: ESP matching, Cluedo, packet tricks, and even predictions. The markings are brilliant and invisible to the untrained eye. Stylish, creative, and practical for both magicians and mentalists.

The Different One (Iñaki Zabalata) – £33.50
A new take on the classic colour-changing deck. Your participant freely chooses a card, which is revealed as the only one with a different coloured back. In phase two, the deck itself changes colour. No forcing, just a heavily gaffed deck which is not examinable. It is definitely a strong routine with multiple surprises, though the price feels steep for what’s essentially a gimmicked deck. Still, it packs classic “Brainwave-style” power.

Endless Cup (TCC) – £79.99
A gimmicked cup for a version of René Lavand’s 3 crumb routine, plus the ability to pour endless liquid. It is well-made and versatile, but slightly oversized for small props like crumbs. The endless liquid feature is fun but underdeveloped and is probably best for comedy or callbacks. The tutorial includes tips for the setup, the cleaning, and even how to make your own colourful clay balls. Impressive, though niche.
