I've watched the video many times, and I don't see how the performer set the gimmick so casually. I agree with other reviewers that stated it is noisy, and I've not been able to remove the rods so easily as the video shows without noise. Also, the product in the review is not what you receive... there are no hinges that allow the prop to fold down. I was surprised that Alex did not mention any of this in his MM review, which is what prompted me to purchase. Disappointed.

What they don’t mention in the video and review is the “sound” it makes when you’re placing it behind.

To me this would have been a give away had they included it in the demo.

You can certainly drown this out with music.

This has an interesting method and in the right circumstances very effective. However, the promotional video is quite disingenuous. Once you know the method, you know there's no way it was set up in that video. The actual method is a lot noisier. It also requires additional management when it comes to removing the rods if you want to hold onto your cash. The instructions also say you could have the spectator pull out the rods, but with a little supervision. NO! You cannot! All that said, with some adjustments, blocking and audience management, it's a really fun effect. Just don't assume it's as clean as the video implies. Alex, as always, is beyond awesome.

The props are superb and the method unexpected. It great that this is not electronic. The instructions are short but consise.
