It’s Saturday, 9:00am, time for the Monster Magic Show. Let’s dive into some reviews.
Fickle Caps by Taiwan Ben and TCC (£51.99)
Five Coke-style caps let you perform transpositions, transformations, and penetrations. They look authentic and fit real bottles, but most routines are angle sensitive and noisy. The strongest effect is the colour transposition in a spectator’s hand, though it requires bold handling. Great for social media, less practical for walk-around. Quality is excellent, but the routines feel limited.

Supercharged by Steve Gore (£25.99)
A USB-cable version of Professor’s Nightmare. Three cables (short, medium, long) equalise in length, then restore, and finish as one jumbo cable. Practical, examinable, pocket-friendly, and versatile. You can even adapt other classic rope routines. A clever, modern update that plays strong close-up or on stage.

The Savant Deck by Lloyd Barnes & Craig Petty (£30.99)
A highly versatile deck for mentalism, predictions, calculations, and ACAANs. Built on classic principles but expanded creatively. Easy to use, examinable, and not over-gimmicked—you can still perform normal card tricks with it. Comes with a 3-hour tutorial packed with varied routines. Practical for close-up, parlour, or stage.

Coring by Menzi Magic & Zhao Xinyi (£38.99)
A coin or foil ball visually transforms into a ring. The gimmick is simple but clever, and the effect looks stunning—especially on video. In real life, it requires audience management and practice to control noise. Best as a flashy opener before moving into other ring or coin effects.
