Sponge balls are one of those tricks that just won't quit. You make them appear, vanish, or multiply, and people still look at you like you've just pulled a rabbit out of your hat. It's oddly satisfying.

These particular ones from Murphy's Magic are 3-inch and green. They're soft enough to stash without making your pockets look like you've got a ham sandwich in there, which is a plus. They bounce back nicely too, unlike some that feel like they've been left out in the sun too long.
