Jimmy Fan's Chinese 3 Fly (C3F) is a twist on a classic "Three Fly" that's been around since the '80s. It's stuck around because it looks great and doesn't make you want to cry halfway through learning it.
Jimmy's version is a neat, three-phase routine that's been tweaked and polished for about 20 years. It's not just one trick; it's like having a decent night out's worth of magic right in your pocket.
Let's break it down:
Phase 1: Hopping Chinese Coin
You put a coin in your pocket, and it keeps reappearing in your hand like it's got a mind of its own. It's a nice bit of mischief to kick things off.
Phase 2: Chinese Three Fly (Multicolour)
Coins start changing colours, silver, copper, red, making the whole "flying" thing a bit of a head-scratcher. Honestly, sometimes I watch it and wonder if I'm missing something obvious.
Phase 3: CCC
Finishes with the Charming Chinese Challenge. You can segue into a ribbon routine if you're feeling fancy, leaving your hands looking as clean as they can be after all that.
