Emoji Trick by Ellusionist

Alright, here's the gist: you tear up some emoji cards, toss them around, and somehow predict which one they'll end up with. That's the trick. Sounds simple, right? Well, it's got more going on than you'd think.

Despite all the cutesy emojis, it's not just child's play. It's the star of the How to Read Minds: Kids Kit, now out on its own. Even a 7-year-old can nail it, but don't be surprised if it leaves adults a bit bewildered. Who knew emojis could be so sneaky?

THE EFFECT

You show off a card covered in emojis, turn it over to reveal a plain green back, and then rip it up. Nothing fancy.

Then you're hands-off. The spectator shakes the pieces like dice and tosses them. Anything that lands green-side up is out. They keep at it until one lonely emoji is left standing.

"Called it. Poop emoji. Magic, or just a coincidence? Who knows."

Even though it feels like pure chance, your prediction, sitting right there in front of them (or hidden away), is bang on. It's almost unfair, really.

WHY THEY'LL LOVE IT

They get to play fortune teller, often landing on the poop emoji, because let's be honest, it's just funnier. Inspired by the hand-drawn emoji/symbols in the How to Read Minds Kit, where the DSP was taught, and released in 2019. Also nods to Jeff Prace's Random Card Generator, though his is more for the card enthusiasts.
