Over 10 years ago Roddy McGhie released a magic trick that put the magic world on notice, a brilliant new creator had arrived. Flux was a smash hit, beloved by discerning magicians who want only the most visual magic. However, Flux has been long out of production, and the magic world demanded it came back. Trick Trick Boom are therefore delighted to unveil the NEW AND IMPROVED Flux 2.0!
There are some great visual moments in magic, few, if any, can compete with the beauty of the Flux 2.0 moment. It's as much fun to play with as it is to perform, and we beg you to perform Flux 2.0, it gets KILLER reactions.
The Effect
A card is selected by your spectator, lost into the deck and you invite a second spectator to find it. Guess what, they fail!
The fearless magician suggests a new plan. He introduces the concept of a psychic phenomenon, "automatic writing". You hand your spectator a sharpie, they remove the lid, and they begin to stab randomly at the back of the wrong card. You show the spectators 'psychic auto-art' but it reveals nothing, just a series of random dots and dashes...but you're not done! The magician has one more play, with a gentle wave, right before their disbelieving eyes, the dots and dashes slowly and visually morph into legible text, spelling out the selected card. The card is then immediately handed out and can (should!) be given away. An impossible souvenir.
What's New with Flux 2.0?
Everybody loved the original Flux but there were a few requests from magicians, and TTB always listens!
The original only came with one reveal card, and it was always the same card. Now you get two different reveal cards!
With the original Flux, giving away the card was an issue. The card had to be hand drawn using astencil that some found difficult to use.
You now get twenty of each card, a total of 40 gaffs to give away and freeze the moment of magicin the heads of your spectators....and refills are available.
You also get the TTB Dead Sharpie System. If sold separately, this alone would be a $40 release. You will love this simple and elegant solution.

Roddy and Noel teach two routines: A two-person routine where spectator A attempts to reveal spectator B's card, and an even easier one-person version. The simple sleight of hand is well taught so even if you are pretty new to card magic, this is well within reach.

I think this is brilliant. The special cards and gimmicks are beautifully and deceptive. The instruction video is excellent, an improved production quality on some earlier products. Everything is clearly taught with overhead shots when helpful. There is a simpler routine included that might suit beginners as a starting place but none of the sleights in the main routine are very difficult. I Idid not purchase this from Monster magic, only because I found a copy on special offer somewhere else.

Roddy is a genious, what you see is what you get.Really easy to do, if you can force a card, you can do this trick. Comes with 2 gimmick reveal cards and like 40 giveaway cards. Gimmicks are well made, nothing to break and will last a life time. Highly recommend and also 5 stars for Alex and Monster Magic.

Needs a bit of practice to get angles / timing down , but put that in and you’ve got a visual masterpiece in your hands . Instant reset , tutorial is fantastic 100% a worker
This effect is superb , props are excellently made and this is what a tutorial is meant to be like ! Very in depth , multiple angles , close up , parlour and stage options . 100% workable table hopping and walk around . The “jam” session with peter turner is excellent giving you a few additional effects which are really really good . Over all very pleased with the whole package .5 stars all day long !
I love this so much. It’s so simple but so unbelievable good. It stays on me all the time now and holds my coins ready for a trick at any time. Love it. Buy it, practice with it, create with it. Wonderful.
This is great fun. It’s well made and reasonably sturdy + should last for a while. The bank card fits well and is a realistic size. Check to see if a slightly thicker playing card (x5 cards thickness) will actually fit in your wallet/phone case though!
