When Industrial Revelation by Jamie D. Grant hit the magic scene, it caused a sensation, winning Trick of the Year. After going out of production, it fetched sky-high prices on the secondary market.

Prepare to blow minds with this mind-bending close-up illusion and leave every audience astounded.

A coin such as a 10p or a knife is pushed through a playing card tuck box. This doesn't seem like that impressive of a feat until you open the box. Your audience won't believe their eyes when they see a solid steel block fall out instead of a deck of cards.

This is the type of moment that leaves people stunned. Their brains can't compute what happened. It's a true moment of magic that is incredibly easy to perform.

No complicated switches, steals, or sleight of hand are needed. The whole effect is basically self-working.

With Jamie's permission, Vanishing Inc. has worked hard to make this beloved effect available again in a new, improved version. Brush steel and a secure mechanism ensure this seamless gimmick can withstand audience inspection.

Whether you use it as a captivating opener or an attention-grabbing way of establishing credibility, Industrial Revelation is a practical and easy effect you'll perform for years to come.

A metal block appears inside a card box, where a piece of paper once went through.

MonsterMagic currently have the best price anywhere for this effect. Its similar to the old matchbox trick using three nails only its been updated for modern day since we no-longer use matches.
However personally, I miss the old version which was smaller, making it easier to carry and weighed much less.
Another difference is the maintenance. The matchbox version worked slightly different allowing three solid thick nails to penetrate (rather than just one paper-thin note) and because it was smaller, the seam is completely invisible. This version being bigger means it will need cleaning every now and again to ensure it goes unnoticed. This is covered in the tutorial in some detail using white spirit, but is not mentioned anywhere in the product description. The number of cleans it will need will depend on how you transport it, as for how much pocket lint it picks up.
Its good for a mini-cabaret show performance. However I wouldn't use it walk-around as resetting it between performances is an issue. You will also need an excuse to have a folded banknote in your act, which is becoming harder to find since less people carry cash and those that do, have plastic notes which are harder to fold.
