Here’s What Happens: 1. Borrow their phone and open Spotify to search for a song and start playing it on mute. You never touch their phone again! 2. Introduce a pack of karaoke cards and have a participant freely pick any song in the deck. They never tell you what song they chose and just imagine listening to it in their mind. 3. They now raise the volume on their phone and jaws hit the floor as the song they had selected is playing!
InstruMental is a deck of music cards that is loaded with devious secrets. The beautifully designed cards feature popular artists and songs from a wide variety of decades and genres. From Prince and Amy Winehouse to Snoop Dogg and Elvis, there’s an eclectic mix that anyone can relate to. All you need to perform is any smartphone (Android or iPhone) with Spotify and, believe it or not, the cards will do nearly all the work for you.
There’s multiple versions offered, whether you, or your audience, has a free or premium Spotify account. Additionally, iPhone owners can use their phone to have the song revealed as a music video playing on YouTube or Vimeo, instead of Spotify. The possibilities are truly wild.
The ingenious core method does not use NFC, RFID, App Clips, Shortcuts, remotes, or any custom apps. There’s no side-loaded software or pairing devices – everything happens natively on their phone. If your spectator is one of the few who does not have the Spotify app, you can always perform using your phone – it’s just as impressive!

Great trick, taught well, with plenty of options for varied degrees of Spotify membership. This is a little different and could be used alongside another music-based effect. Extremely easy to learn and perform + great reactions. A little amount of audience management required, but fairly straightforward. Of course, superb customer service from Alex (standard!).

This is a good little trick but you need to be aware that modern technology does not always behave as it should. That said a little practice with the handling will get you performing this with 100% confidence

Something a little different
Nice to have an effect where 99% of people will have an interest (music). Plays different to a standard card trick and the reveal is great - especially the enhanced reveal which plays the track video. Easy to do and very well presented.

This has become one of my EDC's. People love music, people love magic and this trick combines both and spectators love it. Did I mention it can be repeated. Buy this you wont be disappoionted.
It’s alright…. Mine came, and didn’t work like video.
It’s “OK”. It feels it’s been a rushed project by Vanishing Inc.
Box came, you open it and look at the prop. Mine had scuffs and loose metal particals all over it, the screwdriver had been bashing around the box.
Watched the whole video, which doesn’t show you much. And then put it together. Tried it, nope. And again, and again. It didn’t work. Even with slight twakjng. Due to liking a project to work on, I took parts of it apart, and have made it work for 90% of the trick. The bit where the card is, doesn’t lay flat and is not great.
Overall, disappointing for £90 and which I didn’t buy ngl.
I really love visual magic, and this is great fun! Not had a chance to test it on an audience yet, but looking forward to when I do!

This is a great set of envelopes to use as switches, etc as there are the usual wallets around which can do the same. but to do bank night with more options really does need 2 more envelopes.The 2 envelopes are fine for switching and mentalism... For a pro version the envelopes are strong etc. So you will not tear these. These should last a long time. I have to agree the video instruction to open the envelope correctly should be a little more involved.. but none the less you cannot fault the rest of the video tutorial. Thanks Alex for your fast delivery, your the top man.
