Inspired by a routine from Martin Gardner's The Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic (1978), this effect is a marvel of penetration magic.
Invite your spectator to examine a needle, a thread, and a Half Dollar coin. Have them sign one side of the coin, while you sign the other, making it completely unique.
Wrap the signed coin in aluminum foil. Both you and the spectator hold it firmly, clearly feeling the solid coin through the foil.
Then the impossible happens: the needle and thread visibly pass through the coin.
When the foil is unwrapped, the coin is seen to be perfectly intact, with both signatures still clearly visible.

First, kuddos to Alex.for including an appropriate coin for the product. Overall this set can help facilitate the move, the main gimmick is nice and adequate. The thread provided is useless. At least in my case it was so shoddy wrapped I could not use it. Had to cut several times to get any off the spool, it was so knotted and badly wrapped. The instructions are tediously long and padded. Ifnyou have any skill at all you could accomplish the effect with only the main gimmick supplied. Still, a nice disguise.
Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
I like the product, always have, way back when only the two of hearts was available. Of course the glasses got soft and tatty over the years. The only thing I’m not keen on is the price tag. Not Monster Magic’s fault but the makers are sure coining it in! I plan on making these into two cardboard magical light/thought blending discs. Two props for the price. Each one capable of being slipped between the celluloid and the card case thus affording them a bit of protection.
I really like this simple but affective magic. I'm pleased penguin magic have now taken on producing Mark Masons tricks because this is a gem. Simple to do but as someone mentioned you need a hole punch. Great service as usual by Alex at Monster.
Personally this is Craig Petty at his best. If you like the 52 on 1 card gag this takes it to a whole new level. Reactions are great. Fast delivery from Alex at Monster is a bonus.
