Phantom Pin by Paul Vigil and TCC

The Phantom Pin is the classic Safety Pin through Hanky popular Scarne amongst others. Paul Vigil has taken the plot and method and brought it to life again. With the Phantom Pin you will amaze your audience with two everyday objects.

A participant is asked to to put the pin into the handkerchief and fasten it securely.

The magician then moves the safety pin across the handkerchief, appearing to  rip the fabric until the spectator says stop. The pin is removed and magician displays the handkerchief completely unharmed. 

The magician then lets the participant buckle the pin in one of the corners of the handkerchief and points to any position on the edge.

The magician pulled the pin to the position specified by the spectator. The pin moved like a ghost on the handkerchief and finally stopped at the position pointed by the audience. The handkerchief that was crossed by the pin is still intact.
