I only bought this because I was curious to see what it looked like in person especially because I needed spooky magic for my walk around Halloween gig. I was not at all convinced by the trailer.
The performances in the tutorial are not that convincing either. However, the prop is well made though the gimmick to make your eye look like it's missing is terrible and I won't be using it. It does not feel like a magic trick but rather a shock humour prank the way it is done by Rocco. I do not mean any offense. That is just my opinion.
I dropped the gimmick and the eye broke but was easily glued back into place and survived further falls on concrete which is actually a good thing. It gives me confidence that it will last a long time.
The way I performed it was I would wink at people then act like my eye hurt and wink again and open my mouth with the eye gimmick looking around at them. It got excellent reactions done quickly. Everything from guys bending backwards with their eyes wide open to women turning away covering their faces. Then I slid it under my tongue and laughed at them and they did look at least a tinny little bit fooled/confused at where it had gone. Of course there is a choking risk so perform at your own peril but I 100% recommend having this if you want to shock an audience.
Setup: easy. Reset: easy. Angles: surrounded. Skill level: please be a responsible adult and careful to not choke on it. Should realistically be banned from being sold to kids.
Very nice cards, quick to order, and very speedy delivery. Thank you again monster magic
Loved this effect when it first came out, love this version even more. The only slight issue I had with the original is that you would say you had some clippings, and some had daily newspaper logos on when it was quite obvious that the paper was more magazine like and not newspaper. This version does away completely with that slight anomaly, and plays particularly well into my own presentation of this effect. As always, extremely prompt delivery from Monster. This is a superb piece of magic.
This is great, very well made.
Brilliant service from monster magic
Modern in design and seemingly well made (time will be needed to tell) this comes with a number of inserts and attachments to aid visual switches and CTW etc.
The card slots are of a decent size for standard credit cards and the zippered central section and pocket provide useful storage for coins (if you still carry them) and a few notes or receipts.
The wallet is therefore something you can easily use everyday although not with some of the accessories attached. (Because they may become detached or get damaged).
This wallet claims to be able to do a great range of things but like a washer dryer, something designed for a single purpose may do that thing better.
For me I was particularly interested in the peek. While this is OK the arrangement of the slot into which the card is put isn't one that seems easy for you or the participant to use. Neither is it that easy to remove the card at the end. If a peek is what you need, a Jaks wallet or similar may be better.
Overall Evolution offers a lot of options but nothing particularly outstanding. The visual switches are though, quite singular.
What was outstanding however was Alex's customer service. If you want The Evolution Wallet then Monster is definitely where to get it. (Five star service)
