Once you've got the hang of it, there are some routines to try out. And Simon delves into the shadier uses of the second deal, which is oddly intriguing if you're into a bit of card table mischief.
The book's full of historical gambling graphics and tracks the second deal all the way back to the 1500s. It's got snippets from classics like Robert-Houdin's "Card-Sharping Exposed" and S. W. Erdnase's "Expert At The Card Table," which might be fun light reading if you're stranded on a desert island with nothing else.
As for Simon Lovell, he's practically the guy to go to for anything cheating, gambling, or sleight of hand. He's written "How To Cheat At Everything," worked on "White Collar," and still finds time to do his Off-Broadway show "Strange and Unusual Hobbies."

The usual speedy delivery by Alex. Lovely props, and clever routine, although I haven’t used it in the trenches yet. Knocked one star off as the red poker chip had a minor chip (damage) in it. This is a product issue though and absolutely no reflection on Monster Magic.
Needs a bit of practice to get angles / timing down , but put that in and you’ve got a visual masterpiece in your hands . Instant reset , tutorial is fantastic 100% a worker
