The SPECTRUM Deck
The SPECTRUM deck is not a trick — it’s a unique and stunning deck of cards that can be used in countless magical effects.
This is the world’s first and only TRUE Bicycle® rainbow deck!
The Vision
Back in 2001, Cosmo Solano had been performing a “rainbow deck” routine for years. But he always dreamed of something more — a deck that could literally change color without changing the design. A true color change shouldn’t alter the back pattern, only the hue. Changing the design was clever… but Solano wanted magic.
The result? The SPECTRUM deck — a breathtaking sequence of 54 cards (including Jokers) forming a continuous rainbow of color, plus two special gaffs for creative magic.
Crafted to Perfection
Each deck is printed by the U.S. Playing Card Company on the highest quality Bicycle® stock with the Magic Finish — the same finish preferred by professionals for its smooth handling and durability.
You’ll find:
51 standard face cards in the classic 808 Bicycle® design
1 custom Ace of Spades
1 custom Joker
1 guarantee Joker with a built-in reveal
2 special gaff cards
Yes — there’s a reveal, but it’s subtle. As Solano says, “The little things matter.” He wanted to preserve the beauty and versatility of the deck rather than overload it with secrets.
A Hidden Secret for Magicians
Here’s where it gets really clever…
Solano worked directly with the factory to rearrange the printing order of the cards — an expensive and painstaking process — so that the deck’s gradient colour spectrum appears when the cards look mixed.
That means:
The deck appears shuffled, yet secretly follows a perfect spectrum sequence.
The setup even allows for a red-back or blue-back look without disturbing the gradient.
The Ace of Spades, with its traditional blue back, sits precisely at the center of the deck.
No matter where you cut — the spectrum flows seamlessly.
Even when the cards are out of order, the deck still looks beautiful.
Think of it as if Si Stebbins himself set the deck for you at the factory — a built-in miracle straight out of the box.
A really nice looking deck on excellent card stock. Just seems a shame to shuffle but they have thought of this and the deck looks shuffled when faces are shown because they are not in sequence.
Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
Perfect for stage / parlour although certainly not meant as a carry around case. It is very light weight so not as sturdy as a proper flight case but this is meant to look good, hold props which you then bring out and use or place on top of case. For this then top marks.
