The Spirit Deck by Birdy Cai, Jay Wang, and TCC Magic

Once upon a time, people thought even objects had spirits. The Spirit Deck takes that old idea and mixes it with card magic and a bit of optical wizardry.
Turning a deck into something solid like wood or crystal has been around for ages. But this one? It's a clear block, and when you shine a light through it, a card appears. It's like the deck's gone a bit ghostly on you.

The Effect
Here's the gist: two people pick cards, which you shuffle back into the deck. Then you do your card-revealing thing and show the first one.
And then the fun part, the deck suddenly isn't a deck anymore, it's a transparent block. You could say it's the "spirit" of the deck, a ghost of what used to be there.
Pop your phone light through it, and the second card's image appears. It's not printed or hidden inside, it's just the light doing some clever tricks with the block's insides.

A Different Approach to Card Revelations
The block looks like a smooth glass piece, but inside, it's got these tiny features from some smart engineering. Point a light the right way, and there's your card.
Turns a simple flashlight into a card reveal. Why the light seems to remember the card is beyond me, but I'm not complaining.

Flexible Performance Possibilities
It's a great way to wrap up your card magic. Use it like this:
  • End a signed card routine with a bang
  • Reveal a chosen card in a flash
  • A prediction that's been hiding in plain sight
  • A mystical "soul of the deck" moment
You can present it as a science oddity, a mysterious relic, or just the grand finale to your tricks. Mix it with sleight of hand or gimmicks to make it look like actual magic.
The optics let you project a card image using a phone light. It's great for close-up, parlour, or just messing with your friends.

Measurements
  • Spirit Deck: 88 × 63 × 15 mm. Thickness might vary by about 1 mm.
About the Finish of the Spirit Deck
The manufacturing leaves the edges a bit rough with slight blemishes and variations. Doesn't mess with the magic, though.
Some folks like the rough edges that look like real cards. Others prefer the clear crystal vibe. Your choice.
Each Spirit Deck comes with a scrap of sandpaper. The tutorial shows how to gently sand the edges for a matte, card-like finish.
If you prefer the crystal block look, just leave it. No sanding needed.
