The Date by Sean Goodman

Sean Goodman's come up with a card trick that's got birthdays involved. You've got twelve cards, one for each month, all with different playing cards and dates. Your spectator picks their birth month and the card next to their birth date. All very organised, almost like planning a surprise party.

The deck just stays on the table like it's got better things to do, while they deal down to their birthday number. Somehow, their card magically appears at the right spot. I'm not sure why it works, but you'll get more than a few raised eyebrows out of it.

No complicated moves, and it's ready to go again right after. It's all about the personal touch, like wrapping a card trick up in a birthday present. Worth a shot if you enjoy making people feel like you planned this whole thing just for them. Even if, between us, you only just learned it five minutes ago.
