After the successful launch of my Progressive Book Test, Michael O'Brien wanted to see what he could do to improve it. You talked and he listened. The one thing most of people agreed on is that the closeup title is just a tad too big to fit comfortably in your pocket. I have the solution for you.
This set of 3 books will function exactly the same way as the Progressive Book Test series. It will use the same methods as well as the same set of long words. As with the Progressive Book Test, there will be nothing to memorise and the routine is designed to progress in the same manner.
The Strolling Book Test titles are 4.25" x 6.87" in size making them the smallest of all 12 books. They are designed to be able to fit comfortably in your pocket, making them suitable for strolling magic and mentalism. The strolling titles are:
A Clockwork Orange
Crime and Punishment
The Scarlet Pimpernel
Another big request was more hands-off methods like that taught in the "Moby Dick Bonus Title." Michael has built a streamlined version of this into The Strolling Book Test which allows you to perform the progressive routine using all 3 books with just one quick peek!
The best part of all of this is it pairs with the Closeup and Standup variations of The Progressive Book Test allowing you to round out your collection and truly have multiple books of all sizes and finishes for those looking to create a very "off the shelf" feel to their act!
The following methods are included in the "Strolling Book Test" set:
Flashback - Know the first word of any page without needing to force the page or even know the page number.
Flashforward - Know a word on the first line of the next page. Again, without needing to force the page or even know the page number.
Inception - Rather than fish for a thought of word, you can plant the word you want in the spectator's mind instead! Surefire! Simple! Clean!
Any Word on Any Page - Allow the spectator to choose a word from anywhere in the book. You don't even need to be holding the book. It can be done completely hands-off! No peaking, forcing, or guessing! You can be in the other room when the word is chosen! It is so clean!
The Progressive Book Test - Use a single book to divine 3 thought of words from three different parts of the book at once! Again, no fishing, forcing, or guessing! You instantly know all three words as soon as the spectator chooses a page. Each word gets progressively bigger and more impossible to know!
Tossed Out Book - Toss out one or multiple books and read 6 spectator's minds at once! Again, nothing to memorize and the words can be chosen from anywhere on the page making this one of the cleanest TOB routines out there!
Bonus Scarlet Method - Reveal two more words in addition to the standard six words for the "Any Word on Any Page" and "Tossed Out Book" methods.
Bonus Clockwork Punishment Method - Use the Flashback method to peak at a word on the first line in the "Crime and Punishment" Book.
BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE!
These 3 book titles have also been added to the "KDP Digital Book Test" as well so you can perform using these books with only your phone! Carry them with you anywhere you go! Purchase any Progressive Book Test book and access these digital copies FREE!
It’s a nice trick but it can only be performed sat down at the table with the spectators. I should have read the add copy more closely. If you do more strolling magic this is one to give a miss. Nice trick to do if you are table hopping and have the opportunity to sit down. Unfortunately I feel this will end up in my bottom drawer.
This is a high quality utility device that will allow you to “wow” audience members. Very easy to use so you can focus on your performance. Highly recommend the Zap wallet.
Love the whole idea except for the card that is revealed I used a card held in place by a small amount of magicians wax. the reveal card works but not for me under test conditions. I have used and will use again making my gimmicked box match my favorate box As the arts and crafts needed are easy enough. Great product and idea. Than you Alex for usual speedy dispatch
I allready use a similar idea Super mental Die in brass and have two sets one each in cases ready to perform. But this has got to be my new vavorate pocket item I performed using the card box meathod but there other meathod taught works just as well. I have Purse box by Juan Colas also from Magic Express this Company sems to produce excellant effects. Glad Alex has this one in stock
