The Coin Penetration Tube is a classic coin magic prop. It consists of two metal or wooden cylinders that can be snapped together and split apart, with a playing card or metal plate in between them. The magic happens when a coin is placed in one end of the tube and passes through to the other end. The beauty of this prop is that it does not require any complicated sleights or techniques.
Over time, the availability of high-quality versions has become scarce. Many plastic and poorly designed versions have caused magicians to lose interest in performing with this prop. To bring back the excitement and magic of the traditional coin penetration effect, Jay Wang and Jimmy Fan have collaborated to bring you The Tunnel by Artisan Coin.
Lenz's Law Routine You bring out two brass tubes with wooden exteriors and a magnet and ask your audience if they are familiar with Lenz's Law. You then demonstrate this fascinating physical phenomenon by dropping the magnet through the brass tubes. As it falls, the speed of the magnet slows down, creating an almost slow-motion effect. You explain that this is a result of electromagnetic induction, but what makes this demonstration truly magical is the fact that the space inside the brass tube is distorted.
The Tunnel is a routine that combines the classic coin penetration effect with the physical phenomenon of Lenz's Law. This not only logically creates the "reasonableness" of the magic effect but also enhances the overall magical experience, making it more captivating. We have put a lot of thought and effort into the design of The Tunnel, from the stunning wooden exterior to the combination of brass and wood. The inner tube is made of 3mm thick brass, which maximizes the deceleration effect of Lenz's Law without compromising the aesthetics or stability of the brass-wood combination. Please be aware that the Tunnel set does not include the neodymium magnet used in Lenz's Law Routine due to shipping restrictions. However, this does not affect the basic coin penetration routine's performance. If you would like to obtain the neodymium magnet separately, you will need a cylinder magnet with the following dimensions: • Height: 20mm • Diameter: 30mm You can easily find a variety of cylinder magnets by doing a quick online search.
The quality of the prop and contrasting wood and brass is exactly what brings that magicial look about an effect. A well known effect brought to a higher standard, but... It has one achilles heel that requires a high degree of respect. The props are of such high quality that there's a good weight to both identical parts and that weight together with a weakness of the magnets means that it can seperate at the simple turn of the prop. It's almost a TCC recurring problem with some of their products where they just miss the bulls eye with attention to all detail. There's excellent Neodymium magnets available that TCC should have used these to guarantee confidence. All is not lost as the props are so visually good, but it will take a degree of practice to find the point of turn, speed and angle to ensure they don't seperate. 4 stars simply due to the weak magnets

Nice version of an old trick but unusable due to magnets not being quite strong enough.
More of a magic display rather than a working piece.
I cannot fault this card trick from Craig Petty, multiple outs here perfect trick well thought out from Craig Petty, this is a must buy the tutorial as you would expect from Mr.Petty is excellent. Covers everything you would expect in a tutorial.... Card stock quality is excellent, tutorial 100%
This trick is very simple to do, you could use it as an opener to your gig. the chips are well made and feel good in your hand... etc. Card stock is excellent as well nice feel. Just a negative here, most magic tricks I buy come with instructions you can download to your PC or laptop not this one. You have to run it from the link given. I contacted Vanishing Inc who were very lax in there help to give me a link so I could download to my PC or laptop for referal at a later date. This should not stop you buying this effect its very good and the tutorial is very good. Thanks goes to Alex once again for his prompt service.
It's okay but I think I was the wrong one. My thumb won't fit all the way inside come but it's okay if you just hold it in your fist and reveal something.
I love this trick. The concept is so devious. I've modified the concept in a way, instead of getting them to deal face up, I get them to deal face down and then that way they don't see the cards at all, yes I have to reset the deck again, but it's a lot easier than letting them find out the secret.
