Tornado Bottle By Red Tsai & Aaron Hsing

Positives:
The Tornado Bottle is a very visual take on the classic cap-in-bottle plot, with a kicker twist (literally) at the end that really elevates the effect. The bottle itself is very well made, along with the included stickers and other accessories. The surprise ending with the twisted bottle is a brilliant idea that leaves spectators with a memorable souvenir. The tutorial video is also well shot and clearly explained, making it easy to learn the routine.

Concerns:
My main concern is with the bottle refills, which are not always readily available — and when they are, they can be quite pricey (around £50 for four bottles). This means you have to be selective about when and to whom you give the bottle away. Also, the bottle is relatively fragile due to the twisted section in the middle, so you need to be a bit cautious when striking the bottle over the cap during the performance. Lastly, timing is key with this effect, so it does require a fair amount of practice before performing it live.

Personally, I’m still a big fan of Justin Miller’s Captured trick — it’s strong, inexpensive, and makes for a perfect giveaway. Would I buy the Tornado Bottle refills? Honestly, no. I feel that Captured has the same impact for a layperson, with or without the twisted ending.

A fantastic effect that allows for great visuals . However, I am still waiting for the refills to arrive. I feel this is important as I bought this primarily to be able to leave this as an impossible gift for the 'top' table.

Incredibly visual, easy to perform. I love this, it looks like real magic. I hope they offer replacement bottles as this is a great item to leave with a spectator.
