Break a thread into pieces and slowly, visually restore it.

You reveal a length of thread and give to the spectator to examine. You break it into multiple pieces. The pieces are shown separate, one-by-one, then rolled into a ball. Slowly, you pull the ends of the string to reveal that it has been fully, impossibly restored. The spectator can examine everything - and keep the restored thread as a souvenir.

The Gypsy Thread dates back to 1584. The plot was mentioned in The Discoverie of Witchcraft, one of the first books on magic ever published. In the past, the effect was somewhat cumbersome and required a significant amount of setup. ABERDEEN annihilates all of that.

The spectator can examine the string before and after the effect.

ABERDEEN takes the classic Gypsy Thread trick to an entirely new level. Everything is handled fairly. No fumbling around to conceal the method: the secret is hidden in plain sight. Multiple routines are taught - including a 100% impromptu presentation.

Creator James Dickson guides you through the subtleties and nuances that make this one of the most astonishing, beautiful, elegant magic effects you’ll ever perform. Includes enough Aberdeen Thread for hundreds of performances - you’ll have everything you need.

Aberdeen Thread

Great service as always. Takes a little while to get the handling down and you need to come up with a presentation but easiest gypsy thread i have come across.

If you like this type of effect then highly recommended.

Miniature Miracle

Absolutely love this, great instructions, and virtually self working. This method removes the dirty work, show your hands completely empty to start, pick up the thread and perform a miracle. Getting great reactions!

Amazing

Always wanted to do the Gypsy Thread but always found the set up a bit fiddly. This solves the problem and looks just as nice when performed. It’s easy to do but you still need to put in some practice to make it look really nice and elegant. It’s one of those tricks that has you thinking why didn’t I think of that. You get enough thread to last hundreds of performances so you can get practicing and performing straight away.
