REPLICA: Pocket-size Impression Pad by Ellusionist

Turns out, some magicians prefer a notepad over a bunch of tech that's more trouble than it's worth. The REPLICA is about as high-tech as your granddad's diary, but it works.

This pad was born from our How To Read Minds: KIDS project, but don't let that put you off. It's more than capable of pulling a fast one on the grown-ups too.

At Blackpool in 2024, Ellusionist's Geraint Clarke saw a trick go sideways because someone's fancy pen decided not to play ball. He had a bit of a rant about it later. By Blackpool 2025, the shiny gadgets were still being snapped up, but we figured sticking with basics wasn't a bad plan.

Forget apps and wires, this pad's the kind of thing you can shove in your pocket, chuck on a table, or even accidentally sit on. It's not fragile, I'll give it that.

When you're ready, someone scribbles something down, and you get a look at it. Resets quicker than you can say "how did you do that?" without needing a tech degree.

It's not exactly hogging the spotlight right now, but that could change. Probably worth picking one up before everyone else gets the same idea.
