A single card peeks out of the magician's wallet, untouched and in full view. The spectator makes a free choice, and yet, the impossible becomes reality. What happens next takes the surprise to another level, leaving everyone questioning how it could be done. "Single Minded" turns a simple card trick into an unforgettable mystery.
The magician places their wallet on the table, clearly opened. One playing card is sticking out of a compartment.
"This is the last one I have left; I only use imaginary decks now."
They then reach into their pocket and pull out an invisible deck, handing it to the spectator, who pretends to cut the deck.
"How many cards did you cut?" "Eighteen."
Without touching the wallet, which has remained open on the table the whole time, the magician takes out a small list and shows it to the spectator. This list shows the position of every card in the imaginary deck. At the 18th position? The 3 of Diamonds.
The magician then removes the card that has been in the wallet the entire time.
First surprise: It’s the 3 of Diamonds! Second surprise: When both cards are turned face down, they reveal the name of the chosen card!
What a great trick. I actually worked this out using matrix maths. But I still bought it. I knew my engineering degree would come in useful one day. My matrix also took the solution further in revealing what card it is. That said it's a brilliant trick and absolutely does not require any matrix maths

Nice Effect, but not for me
A card trick without cards might suggest an EDC, but with the amount of wallet space you need for this it certainly wouldn't fit in my wallet. It's a nice effect with a good kicker ending, so if you don't carry multiple cards and cash around it might be the effect for you. Sadly online instructions ony - another gripe I'm afraid.

I like this, but it is a tad fiddly to perform with wallet space being used. I like it but cannot see me adding it to my gig set list anytime soon. So many ways to do this with less fiddly methods.

I was using an alternative brand repositionable glue for the flaps on my himber envelopes but it wasn't very good at all. I could never rely on it to hold the flap closed on the underside of the envelope. This glue is awesome. So far I have not had any issue and the flaps have been held in place until I open them
