Sucker Punch showed up in 2016, thanks to Mark Southworth, and it was a lot of folks' first dip into gaffed coin magic. Fast forward to now, and Sucker Punch: Revolutions is here to shake things up again.
This set's got seven poker chip gimmicks and some regular chips, all set to let you dive into coin magic without the jingling bits of metal.
Picture this: you put a stack of poker chips in someone's hand, make the top one vanish, and suddenly the whole stack turns into candy. I don't know why it works so well, but it does, and that's the fun of it.
And that's just one piece of the puzzle with these chips.
Wondering what's in the box?
Slippery Sam Gimmick
Locking Flipper Chip
Chip Stack Gimmick
Chip Shell
Sharpie Through Chip Gimmick
Folding Chip
Floating Chip
Regular Chips
Red and Blue Stickers for a bit of custom flair
They're all made to feel just like the original Sucker Punch set.
This isn't about a one-off trick; it's about having a go with coin magic using poker chips instead.
With this set, you can:
Make things vanish, appear, or change
Create routines centred around poker chips
Slide a chip through a glass or cup
Do Copper/Silver style tricks that get decent reactions
Float a chip off a stack, which looks a bit like video editing, but isn't
Carry everything in one pocket, ready to go
The Masterclass
There's a 4.5-hour tutorial with Craig Petty covering every bit of the set.
He'll break down each gimmick and how to use them
Offers various ways to perform with each chip so you're not doing the same thing over and over
There's a section on sleights too, which is helpful if you've never messed with gaffs before. It starts making sense once you've got it in your hands, though I did fumble a few times before it clicked.
If coin magic has always seemed a bit intimidating, Sucker Punch: Revolutions might be the gentle nudge you need.
It's the same idea as the original Sucker Punch, but with a few more options to keep things interesting.
I use the original set all the time instead of coins, and this set is great fun with even more possibilities! The project is thorough, and overall, it's really good. I just wish it came with extra stickers to match my original chips so I could use them together!

Suckered Punch
I am new to coin magic and wanted something that was not to expensive but hand enough to get me started. Boy did I get that, think I have a few months worth of stuff to work through. Everything you need and more, tutorials are very good and detailed. I have decided to go slow, practice one at a time, until competent, so will be at it for a while. Excellent service from Monster Magic as usual

Brilliant Value
Better than the original set.
Excellent value. For under £40 quid the amount of gimmicks and tutorials to play with is incredible.
So why 3 stars? They don’t look like traditional poker chips and there isn’t a section for repairing the gimmicks as of yet.
Was loving playing with the flipper gimmick as I have never used one before. Then it broke. I don’t find it so straight forward to fix. It’s disappointing, however there are plenty of other gimmicks to keep me busy until they hopefully address this and add it to the download.
Top marks again for a fast delivery from Alex and if they do add a repair section then I would quite happily upgrade this project to 5 stars

Better than expected
I've seen very mixed reviews on this set so wasn't sure at first if i was going to get it, but im glad I decided to buy it. People don't carry coins as much any more so using poker chips for tricks I think is completely reasonable and shouldn't raise suspicion if you are giving a good enough story as to why you are using chips. I have the original sucker punch set and want to re-sticker them to match these so I can then work on some great routines. I won't be using everything in the box straight away (one or two are definitely more TikTok tricks) but everything is well made and I haven't even started the tutorial yet and am already impressed. I have a boy who is 8 and wants to learn magic, these are perfect for that, and even as someone who has been doing hobby magic for 20 years myself, I will be using these to fo tricks for friends and work colleagues and I really dont see an issue with them "not being coins".
Son wanted this product but it wasn't in stock. We COULD have ordered it from a competitor, but last time they took two weeks to deliver instead of the 3 days max promised. Alex ordered it in and had it shipped out pronto - just SO glad Alex is about! Son has had various thumb tips but when he showed them to me the warm white light was much brighter than I'd expected - definitely thumb tips with a difference.
This is a fantastic utility device for card/bill/billet to impossible location. v2.0 is now twice as strong as v1.0 meaning the switch happens even quicker. Very nicely built.
An absolutely amazing magic trick that is so easy. The gimmick is great and the instructional video explains everything you need to know about the product. Once the card had finished moving however I did a hear the gimmick a tiny bit but besides that it completely silent. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
