The Artefact is more than just a magic trick. It is that rare and wonderful piece of magic that allows you to not only amaze and entertain but to also open your audiences eyes to a whole new way of thinking.
At its core The Artefact is a fabulous multiphase mental magic style effect. It is incredibly easy to do, requires no sleight of hand and excluding one simple "move" is completely self working. The props have been designed to do all the work for you and all of the secrets of the routine are contained within the expertly crafted props.
The trick/effect itself is a wonderful piece of magic that will completely dumfound your audience.
A deck of 25 "symbol" cards are completely and freely mixed by the spectator false shuffles, no controls of any kind.
5 cards are chosen from the deck by the spectator. It is a completely free choice- no forces, no equivoque... they can even change their mind.
The spectator guards the deck. The magician at no point in the entire routine ever touches the deck!
The cards are dealt face down into a circle by the spectator. The magician doesn't touch them.
The spectator secretly looks at one of symbols on any one of the cards- no force.
The magician reads their mind.
A blister of the chosen symbol appears on the magicians finger.
The 5 selected cards are turned over to reveal 5 symbols. The Artefact coin (which has been on full display throughout) is turned to show it has the exact matching 5 symbols in exactly the same order as death by the spectator.
The remainder of the deck (which the spectator has been guarding/holding/in their pocket) the entire time is shown to be completely blank. There are no symbols on any of the cards. The magician has never touched the deck.
Everything can be examined and you end completely clean.
The Artefact truly is a wonderful trick....but what makes it so special is the chance to add an incredible presentation to it. Ancient lost civilizations, cataclysmic floods, alien technology. Whatever you believe in the Artefact gives you the opportunity to weave your truth into this compelling presentation.

I purchased after watching Mathew Wrights leacture ''HOOK'' which was free through Murphys magic for three weeks. easy to learn just need to use a good story line which Mathew teaches well

Beautiful Effect
This is really different. One of the best effects I’ve purchased for a while. If you can create the intrigue with scripting it goes a long way. So clever and not difficult to do at all. Amazing props. Can’t find a negative really. Spot on

Work of Art-efact
Absolutley all round beautifully designed trick. Everything about it is stunning, the design, the way it works, the fact that the props actually will get better and more authentic looking as they get old and worn, the simplicity. Its one of those trick that is great for a professional or a beginner and everyone in between. Took me 5 mins to learn. Love it. As always the added bonus of Monster MAgics (ALex) service was just the perfect topping. Thank you

The Artefact
Excellent, unusual and colourful Magic. Contrary to some reviews, this is EASY to perform without a close-up mat. And, most importantly, 'Monster Magic' is splendid - great price and super-fast delivery. Its my new top of the list dealer!

The Artefact.
Outstanding quality, great value for money. This has gone straight into my parlour mentalism act. Matthew is lecturing at our society soon and I hope he performs this for our members. Great service as usual from Monster Magic. On the doormat inside 24hrs. Thanks Alex.
The OG perfect score was great and did its job for me for years , Perfect Score 2.0 outshines its original . Great tutorial going in depth on the mercury fold and even card splitting . 5 Stars !
The usual speedy delivery by Alex. Lovely props, and clever routine, although I haven’t used it in the trenches yet. Knocked one star off as the red poker chip had a minor chip (damage) in it. This is a product issue though and absolutely no reflection on Monster Magic.
Needs a bit of practice to get angles / timing down , but put that in and you’ve got a visual masterpiece in your hands . Instant reset , tutorial is fantastic 100% a worker
