So, The Camera Trick by Matthew Wright, it's cards meet tech. If you've got an Android or iOS device, you're sorted. It uses a bit of augmented reality, which is just a fancy way to keep your audience scratching their heads.

Here's how it works: someone picks a card and scribbles on the back. You aim your phone at it, and like magic, the card's face pops up on your screen. But wait, there's more. Another card's picked, and the screen image morphs into this new card. You say the signed card's also changed, but then your phone starts having a meltdown, glitches everywhere.

Looks like you've fluffed it, but then you turn over the signed card, and it's a jumbled mess just like the screen. Not what anyone saw coming.

Then you give it another whirl. A new card, another signature. This time it's the King of Hearts, he's the one with a sword in his head. Classic. You point the camera at it, and up pops the King. Another card gets picked: the Four of Hearts. On screen, the King does a little DIY, rearranging hearts with his sword onto a blank card. Flip the card, and now the King's holding the Four of Hearts. It's like the pixels and paper had a little chat and decided to play nice.

Matthew's been tinkering with this for over three years. It's a doddle to learn but still impressive enough to make you look like you know what you're doing. Just don't forget you need his CTRL'D App. It's ready for iOS, and for those on Android, it's coming soon. Keep calm and keep your phone charged.
