The Jokers prove to be the most influential cards in the deck during this amazing, multi-phase original routine from Elias D'Sastre.
Most people have probably heard that Jokers are wild, and can "represent" any card in a deck. But what if they could physically transform cards? With "The Influencers", they can!
A card is signed and lost in the deck (they could even shuffle the cards). The Jokers are then removed and the cards are spread face-down.
You name a card (let's say it's the Nine of Hearts) and invite your participant to pull a face-down card from the spread. This card is handed to you and is placed between the Jokers. With a magical twist, it becomes the Nine of Hearts.
Now, since they didn't see the face of the card before it changed, they could think that this was just luck. Maybe they did actually pull out the Nine of Hearts.
So, this card is placed to the side and you offer to repeat things with a new card (let's say the Ace of Clubs). However, this time, you clearly show the face of the incorrect card before putting it in-between the Jokers. Once again, the card magically turns into the correct one
For the last phase, you place another card between the Jokers. But you forget to name a suit and value, so the Jokers end up turning the card blank. This blank card is then placed back in-between the Jokers and your participant names the card they chose earlier. The cards are given one final twist and it's revealed that the blank card has now become their signed card.
"The Influencers" is direct, powerful, and super easy-to-do magic which ends with a souvenir that ensures they'll never forget you. It comes with red or blue Bicycle gimmicks that handle most of the hard work for you and allow you to handle the cards freely and fairly throughout the entire routine.
I can't really say what I think of the trick yet because I am still learning it. I am finding the tutorial very frustrating because he jumps between explaining a technique and explaining the trick. So at times I think I am learning the next step in the trick only to find he is demonstrating a method and then he jumps straight back into the trick...and I am left all over the place.
It's in Spanish with English subtitles. So, you have to read the script and watch the trick simultaneously. I speak reasonable Spanish so could understand him most of the time but he speaks so rapidly it's hard to keep up.
Of course, its a video so I can stop it and review what's going on. I will persevere and get there in the end.
But overall I think it would have helped if he had shown this to a few people to get feedback. I think that way he might have slowed down and focussed better.

A wonderful routine
Watching the tutorial for this trick ( in Spainish with subtitles) made me smile throughout. It is using a tried and tested technique but it is achieving an amazing fun routine with multiple points of wonder! I would highly recommend! And one again wonderful service from Alex and Monster Magic

Lovely
Very nice trick, simple to learn (though you will need to turn subtitles on if you don’t speak Spanish, subtitles are very good and easy to follow). The trick itself is great fun, you do need a table for it but other than that no restrictions

The Influencers
I have really enjoyed learning this card routine, after a couple of hours or practice, it came together really well. I am a low level hobbyist, but this really fooled the family. Monster Magic is always good on comm's and delivery

Another great addition. With so many possibilities.
Excellent service from Alex as always.
This matches the TCC mini baseballs exactly and perfect for the first load for the cup. Was going to buy another for the second load but might go traditional and use a lime.
I had heard good things about this book, so decided to pick it up. It's a great read full of great effects like colour changing knives, to sponge balls. But the best bits are the little details and the small changes you can make. Well worth picking up.
