Traitors by Matthew Wright

"Traitors" by Matthew Wright takes the old "Out of This World" trick and gives it a bit of a spruce-up. It's a three-part routine where your audience gets to channel their inner detective and figure out who the traitors are among the faithful. Think of it as a card game of Cluedo.

It's almost self-working, so you can relax a bit. The trick hinges on choices and social cues from your spectators, leading to an outcome that's somehow baffling. Not sure why this works as well as it does, but people seem to love it.

Phase 1: Your spectator deals out the cards into two teams. By some mystery, the traitors end up on one side and the faithful on the other. No idea how it works, but it does.

Phase 2: From a mixed bag of male and female cards, the audience identifies one male and one female traitor. It's as if they have a knack for this sleuthing business.

Phase 3: The grand finale is all about unmasking the mastermind traitor or finding a loyalist in disguise. It's a bit like a card-based soap opera with a twist ending.
