Ultrasound 2.0 by Iain Bailey

When someone asks, "How long have you been into magic?" Iain Bailey's Ultrasound 2.0 lets you reply with a slightly cheeky, "Before I was even born." You show this ultrasound image from when you were 20 weeks old, yeah, I know, stay with me, and then things get interesting.

Here's the deal: a spectator picks a card, and then you pass the ultrasound over the deck. Magically, the card they chose shows up on the baby's brain in the picture. I'm still not sure why that blows minds, but it does. Then you get another spectator to just think of a card while holding the ultrasound. No hints, nada. They look again, and the card on the image has somehow switched to theirs. It's one of those things that shouldn't work as well as it does, but it does.

It's practical, with a fair share of chuckles and gasps. You get reveals for the Three of Hearts and Ace of Diamonds, plus both red and blue Bicycle card versions. The artwork's bigger now, which is nice since nobody wants to squint at a trick. Just be prepared for people to start asking for your early life story. No pressure.
